A Preview of the 2019 Acura RDX

Earlier this year, the world got its first look at the 2019 Acura RDX at the Detroit Auto Show. This new Acura SUV isn’t in stock yet — it arrives at Hall Acura Newport News later this summer — but if you’re shopping for a new luxury SUV, there are some compelling features that should move it to the top of your list once it hits our dealership lot.

For starters, the design is based on the striking Acura Precision Concept. The sharp new exterior will be complemented by a reworked interior that piles on premium materials that include Nappa leather, genuine wood, and brushed aluminum.

This SUV doesn’t just look athletic. It arrives with a new turbocharged 2.0-liter DOHC VTEC engine  that delivers more of its torque at the low end. That engine is paired to a ten-speed automatic transmission that’s unique in this segment. That power will be fed through Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) with advanced torque vectoring.

Standard features include the new and innovative Acura True Touchpad interface that promises to reduce distracted driving, plus a panoramic roof, and AcuraWatch™ driver assist features like rear parking sensors and a surround-view camera. Meanwhile, the optional 710-watt Acura ELS Studio 3D 16-channel sound system makes the most of the AcuraLink® infotainment system.

The Acura RDX was already a formidable contender in a highly competitive segment. However, when this new SUV arrives at your Acura dealership near Williamsburg VA later this year, you’re going to see one of the best get even better.

To be among the first to find out when it’s here, for more information, or to inquire about pre-orders, visit Hall Acura Newport News at 12501 Jefferson Ave., today.
