The Acura ILX Special Edition

While we’re waiting for more news on the 2019 Acura models coming soon to Hall Acura Newport News, we thought we’d take a minute to look back on one of the more interesting model debuts from this year. It’s the 2018 Acura ILX Special Edition, which we hope to see make a repeat appearance in the year ahead.

What makes this new Acura sedan special? There are a few things, actually. The Special Edition trim is new this year, and it bundles the rear spoiler from the A-Spec package, alongside 18-inch wheels, bespoke side sills, and JewelEye LED headlights that have an automatic on/off feature.

The other thing we particularly liked about this year’s Acura ILX isn’t unique to the Special Edition, but deserves mention anyway. It’s the AcuraWatch™ suite of driver assist aids. That includes forward collision and lane departure warnings, lane-keep assist, road departure mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. It’s standard on all Acura ILX models.

All this, and have we mentioned that the price isn’t that much of a difference from the base trim? If you’re looking for an entry-level luxury sedan that doesn’t remind you daily that it’s entry-level, the Acura ILX gives you all the value and reliability for which the Acura brand is known, alongside a sense of style that’s understated but still very attractive.

To find and test drive the right new Acura car, visit Hall Acura Newport News at 12501 Jefferson Ave., today. If you prefer a luxury SUV to a new luxury sedan, don’t forget that we’re also taking pre-orders on the upcoming 2019 Acura RDX, which stands to be the most extensive — and most daring — redesign in many years.
