The 2019 Acura ILX is Coming Soon

It isn’t often that we see a car get two mid-cycle redesigns, but that’s exactly what we’re about to get from the 2019 Acura ILX. Introduced in 2013 and refreshed in 2016, it arrives soon at Hall Acura Newport News with another redesign, and it looks like the third time’s a charm.

That’s because there’s a newfound sense of style to this new Acura sedan. Not everyone liked the brand’s “beak” look, and it’s gone from the Acura ILX. In its place is a more aggressive and sportier front end that we first saw in the Acura Precision concept and have seen deployed to great effect in other new arrivals since. That’s complemented by a new look for the lower diffuser and the rear fascia as well.

The interior isn’t as radical a redesign, but the seats are new and so is the new Espresso color scheme. A more substantial change comes in the form of safety; all trim levels now come with AcuraWatch™ active safety features as standard equipment, so you can climb into any version of this car and be treated to adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and lane keep assist.

Some features remain intact. That includes the powertrain (a 201 horsepower 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine at one end, and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission at the other), the returning A-Spec trim, and compatibility with Android Auto® and Apple CarPlay®.

Deliveries start in a matter of days. We invite you to call HallAcura Newport News or stop by our showroom at 12501 Jefferson Ave. This is a redesign — and a new Acura sedan — that definitely deserves a closer look, so visit us today!
